Nestled at the bottom of a valley, at an altitude of 1150m, near the village of Fontpédrouse, come and discover the old thermal establishment of St Thomas les bains and its fabulous sulphurous thermal spring with its long-recognised benefits. The old establishment was completely transformed in 1993: the buildings were razed to the ground, leaving a large stone amphitheatre housing three open-air lagoon pools. They are equipped with massage jets, Jacuzzis, waterfalls, hot and thermal shower ramps in pure water. The temperature of the pools varies according to the season: from 34° in summer to about 37° in winter. The water in the large spring gushes out at 58°. The indoor “well-being” area, which was created in 2001 (completely renovated in 2017), offers a large thermal water whirlpool spa, a large hammam, a sauna, a vaporarium (natural hammam with sulphurous vapours), a rest area and a tea room where you can enjoy a hot drink. The Camí Oliba is a long-distance path (GR-151) that connects some of the most emblematic works of Catalan Romanesque art. It crosses the inland and mid-mountain landscape of the inland counties in an undemanding itinerary and surrounded by high value-added tourist and commercial services. The Cortiuda Refuge is a private mountain refuge located in the old town of Corriuda (Peramola). It started its activity in 2004 with a couple from Oliana and from 2016 to 2020 it has remained closed.
