At the age of 8, he was introduced to the practice of scuba diving and sailing. From the age of 15, he worked alongside his father for the two companies he managed: Pro-Sub-Mer, a renowned diving center in France, and the Roussillon Croisières shipping company, created in 1986. Guilhem is the holder of his first captain's license in 2006. He then left to work for prestigious French shipping companies. After 3 long years, he obtained his Captain 3000 UMS diploma and in 2010 created the shipping company CTM Croisières. The Palau de l 'Abadia, former residence of the abbots, as we see it now, is the result of a long succession of constructions and reforms that began in the 14th century when the abbot Pere de Soler shaped the outbuildings of the Existing monastery, where he himself resided. It will be another abbot, Arnau de Vilalba, who in the 15th century will ennoble the house with Gothic style elements and the construction of the small cloister that connects the different parts of the Palace. Currently, the Palace of the Abbey, completely rehabilitated, houses the Tourist Office, the Interpretation Center of the Myth of Count Arnau, which is part of the project "Land of Counts and Abbots", the 'Espai Art l ' Abadia, the permanent exhibition of models "Romanesque, a tour of Ripollès " and a set of multipurpose rooms where a wide cultural program is established, such as conferences, presentations and various exhibitions.
Our Tourist Office is the first Intercommunal to have emerged in the department. It brings together 19 municipalities, the capital of which is the town of Thuir. We therefore manage a territory of 230 km², of nearly 20,000 inhabitants. The Aspres mean “Arid” in Catalan. Our territory has many contrasting landscapes where heritage and gastronomy mingle. It is located in the foothills of Canigou and offers magnificent views of the sea. Our territory is littered with small villages full of charm, churches and Roman chapels. The capital of Aspres, Thuir, is a dynamic, cultural city with many shops. Nearby, Castelnou, a medieval village, classified among the most beautiful villages in France, is the nugget of our Aspres. The flora is quite varied, ranging from vineyards to orchards and cork oaks and scrubland on the heights. The Aspres are also a gourmet territory: we have many small producers (honey, duck, snails) and many winegrowers in IGP but also and especially in AOP Côtes du Roussillon and Côtes du Roussillon village “Les Aspres” for some.

Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya invites you to rediscover the territory with the offer of tourism and mountains: BREATHE NATURE! FGC activities and trips to enjoy the natural and cultural heritage of the country, putting all its assets of mountain tourism and tourist trains in favor of the recovery of outdoor leisure spaces and the concept of taking air in the middle of nature . Turisme i Muntanya, a division of the Generalitat de Catalunya Railways (FGC), has as its mission the management and promotion of high mountain tourist destinations that are deployed throughout Catalonia: From the Eastern Pyrenees, with destinations such as La Molina , Vall de Núria and Vallter 2000. The stations of Port Ainé and Espot are located in the Pallars Sobirà and in the region of Alta Ribagorça is the mountain resort of Boí Taüll, in one of the most spectacular places in the Catalan Pyrenees. However, they are also part of places as characteristic of Catalan culture and landscape as the magical Montserrat Mountain. On the way, visitors will find two jewels of the railway history of Catalonia: the Tren del Ciment, in the Alt Llobregat, covers the route that historically connected the Asland cement factory to Castellar de n 'Hug with Guardiola de Berguedà. It has a route of 3.5 km and passes through 4 stations, La Pobla de Lillet, La Pobla Center, Jardins Artigas, designed by Antoni Gaudí and fully integrated into the natural landscape that hosts them and the Cement Museum of Castellar de n 'Hug, housed in a spectacular modernist building. The other railway gem is the Tren dels Llacs, which connects the Lleida-Pyrenees station, in the city of Lleida, with La Pobla de Segur. The route runs along the right bank of the river Segre from Lleida to Balaguer. It does so by a unique route on a flat route until it reaches the first mountain walls of Sant Llorenç de Montgai and Camarasa. Soon, the train is part of the Noguera Pallaresa river basin that will accompany it, between reservoirs and mountain ranges such as Montsec, to La Pobla de Segur, the last stop. To get there, the train passes through a total of 41 tunnels and 31 bridges. The Universe Observation Center (COU) of the Montsec Astronomical Park located in the municipality of Àger, in the Noguera region, is the best place to observe astronomy in Catalonia. A state reference center for the dissemination of astronomy and space sciences, which allows you to discover the secrets of the universe to those who visit it. This year, FGC assumes its management to promote, disseminate and organize its activity.
