Cal Calsot is a typical manor house in La Cerdanya from the end of the 19th century, a symbol and witness to the country life that has lasted for centuries in the Pyrenees. In 2013 it was listed as an Asset of Local Cultural Interest (BCIL) in order to preserve and keep alive part of the architectural heritage of the Pyrenees. We renovated the house for its new use taking into account sustainability, quality, comfort and simplicity, always respecting the original architecture and structure, contributing our creativity by designing the spaces, creating a part of the furniture and choosing carefully every object, every detail of the house. The rooms are all bright, spacious, no TV, no noise, rationally designed that conveys calm because there is what is essential. We like to take care of the people who visit us and that is why we welcome them on arrival, prepare breakfast, cook dinner with healthy, organic and local products and recommend them where to go and what to do. We cook with fresh, seasonal, organic and local food, in order to boost the local economy and reduce the carbon footprint. We work in a network with small artisan producers in the area through the Agri-Food Association, so we know first hand the origin of each of the foods we offer, they all have their history. We love that our guests eat from here! We are Lydia and Marc and we like to take care of the guests as if they were friends and take care of the environment as if it were our home. To observe and get to know our natural environment better, we recommend some of our collaborators, local guides who know the territory in depth and will make them live a more enriching experience.
