Le Mas PY Agricultural estate of around one hundred hectares, between Vallespir and Aspres, above Céret, going up to Llauro, facing the Hermitage St Ferréol, offers a magnificent panoramic view. Arid land of Aspres, offers a terroir, taste values to our products. Le Mas PY has been in organic farming for more than 30 years. We were the largest producers of organic cherries in Céret and the region. After having exported the cherries, working with the wholesalers of St Charles for years, the cherry trees have aged and now, we specialize in dried cherries, we supply Olivier Bajard, World Champion of Dessert Trades, Meilleur Ouvrier de France Pastry chef, and otherwise we retail. Little by little, olive trees (2,500 trees) are succeeding cherry trees, and so we produce different extra virgin olive oils, with character. The monovarietals of the region, l’Olivière and l’Arbéquine. The Picholine blend with varieties known in Spain such as Picual and Manzanilla. Finally, our blend of Mas Py, varieties known in Italy, Frantoio and Leccino with fruity and peppery characteristics. La Frantoio du Mas Py won in 2018, the National Competition of Draguignan, Gold Medal. In breeding, the Iberian black pigs frolic under the cork oaks as well as the scrubland. The tasty meat is found in the form of various verrines, in particular the Pâté du Mas Py, well appreciated, then head pâté, rillettes, onion blood sausage, cured meats, fresh meat, piglet and its roasting pan for events. We also have a flock of sheep and a flock of goats that roam the different plots. In the spring, we breed lambs and kids in the scrubland, for tender and fragrant meat. Finally, working with the National Institute of Liège, we harvest the cork and we have donkeys to clear the cork groves. They are the donkeys of Mas Py, about fifteen, most of them Catalan! We sell our products directly on the farm and of course in different shops in the region. We deliver within the region and ship outside the region.
