DÉCOUVERTE BALEINES ET DAUPHINS
Take to the open sea to discover whales and dolphins, and all the other natural resources of the Mediterranean Sea… This cruise on the Big Blue will plunge you into a world as fascinating as it is mysterious… That of marine mammals and marine fauna from the open sea. Ten hours of naturalistic observations of marine life in general – cetaceans (whales and dolphins), fish, reptiles, birds, etc…. You will also benefit from an educational conference, scientific and naturalist animation continuously. An electronic report accompanied by images of the day will be offered to participants if they wish. Embark on a unique adventure. The NAVIVOILE crew and our naturalist guide, who will accompany you on this walk through the heart of marine life, have acquired a great deal of experience in their respective fields. They will be able to lead you safely to the open sea, and get you as close as possible, with the greatest respect for their guests. Live an exceptional moment! It is near the large marine pools, off the Eastern Pyrenees, that you will be likely to observe in their natural environment various sedentary or seasonally migrating species: • Cetaceans: The blue and white dolphin, the bottlenose dolphin, the dolphin of Risso, the pilot whale, the sperm whale, and finally the second largest animal on the planet, the fin whale… • Fishes: Moon fish, flying fish, sharks, tuna, swordfish,… • Sea birds: Shearwater, terns, seagulls , puffins,… And the unpredictable loggerhead turtles, etc… Progress of the whale and dolphin discovery trip from Canet en Roussillon… Initially, the navigation will be done with the motor in order to cover a maximum distance in search of cetaceans . Secondly, if our seasoned observers spot cetaceans, the approach will be smooth. In fact the captain of the ship holds the “High Quality Whale Watching” label. Unique state certification that guarantees respectful observation of whales and dolphins. In particular by respecting the code of good conduct. We draw your attention … To the fact that statistics have shown us that we had an average of 95% success in our cetacean observations – 100% in 2020! This includes all our whale and / or dolphin watching outings. However, the remaining 5% have also shown us that we are going to meet wild animals and therefore we can never guarantee their sightings in a safe way.
