Mountain guides In Ruta we are Lluc and Laia, two self-employed people who join forces to create a mountain and ski guide company in accordance with our values and social commitment. We both have a degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences, Nordic skiing technicians, and Lluc is a UIAGM High Mountain guide and Laia has a degree in Physical Education and a mid-mountain guide and interpreter of the Natural Park of the High Pyrenees.
Through En Ruta we have been managing the Nordic Ski School of Sant Joan de l ‘Erm for 13 years and we currently manage the School and the activities of the Estació d ‘Aransa. We work with Guils station. In addition, we are dedicated to the training of future mid- and high-mountain technicians at the Institut de la Pobla de Segur. We work by remarking with paint the paths of the Alt Pirineu Natural Park. We work as mountain guides in the Pyrenees (especially in Pallars and La Cerdanya) and we are the creators and managers of two self-guided routes that have been being well received for three years now.
These are Lo Pallars Fer, which will run for 5 stages through the Alt Pirineu Natural Park and L ‘Altra cara de la forca, which will run through the Cadí Moixeró Natural Park. These are two routes that were born with the illusion of creating hiking trails in the middle of the mountains, which go through several valleys along their old paths. Well, we understand that the old paths are the thread of memory and walking them allows us to discover the territorial legacy where we walk. Both routes are born with the desire to generate a tourist product with authenticity, which promotes a series of implicit values with which we feel very identified. Values such as: Promoting hiking as a healthy physical activity that brings us closer and connects with nature. To promote hiking as a means of knowledge of the environment and cultural, historical and landscape discovery of the territory. Encourage hiking as a way to create a slow, respectful, sustainable tourism with few agglomerations. Contribute to creating a responsible tourism, while dynamizing and diversifying the local economy. Encourage the maintenance of old roads, and therefore put them back with value. Help preserve the landscape and preserve the legacy. Establish relationships with small accommodation, local producers or service providers in the territory.

Lo Pallars Fer is a self-guided hiking route through the Alt Pirineu Natural Park, the largest park in Catalonia that still brings together a genuine sample of the values of the high Pyrenean mountains that must be preserved. (www.lopallarsfer.com)
Lo Pallars Fer is a 5-stage route, which can be done from April to November. It has a total distance of 77 km. Elevation gain + accumulated: 5610 m and one
elevation gain – accumulated: 5,400 m
The route can be done in standard or slow format, making the route more leisurely.
Lo Pallars Fer goes from Llavorsí to La Guingueta d’Àneu, traversing the Coma de Burg, the Virós forest, the Ferrera valley, the Cardós valley until reaching the Valls d’Àneu.
Walking along its paths we can enjoy wild valleys, meadows with cattle, deep forests, riverside paths, beautiful villages, huts, hermitages, hills with fantastic views of the valleys of Pallars, emblematic peaks such as Monteixo or Pica d’Estats and great panoramic views of the Aigüestortes National Park and Sant Maurici Lake.
Lo Pallars Fer is an opportunity to get to know the diversity of the mid-mountain landscapes of the Natural Park through its old paths, enjoying the solitude of its paths and knowing the wonderful legacy of the Pallars and its people.
With the route we offer a detailed route book, where you can find in addition to the route book a brief guide to the legacy of the route.
We offer advice and follow-up from behind to our customers throughout the tour and offer all the services they need to make the tour a good experience. It is a question of them being the protagonists of the route but with the security of having two local guides at their disposal.
We offer the possibility of doing complementary activities such as visits to local producers and museums, hermitages, workshops in order to make the experience more enriching and more global in the territory and thus collaborate between different services in the territory.
The idea is to understand hiking as a transversal activity that allows us a deeper knowledge of the territory where we are walking.
Camins del Cadí is a self-guided half-mountain walking route proposal that follows the same parameters and pursues the same objectives and values as Lo Pallars Fer described above.
The route has 5 stages, and can be done from June to October. It has a total distance: 77 km and a difference in altitude + accumulated: 3,800 m and a difference in altitude – accumulated: 4,200 m.
It is a route of historical, cultural and landscape interest that much of its route passes through the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park.
The route begins at the foot of the spectacular north face of the Cadí, in the Cerdanya, and changes slope towards the Berguedà by the Gosolans pass, an old step that connected both counties, and that takes us to the domains of the imposing Pedraforca massif.
This route allows us to discover the Vansa Valley, where we will intensely enjoy small mountain villages and their people who still keep alive the conservation of the rural heritage of their valley.
Finally we descend to the plain of Alt Urgell, a green valley rich in crops, which bathed by the river Segre and surrounded by mountains returns us to civilization with the arrival in La Seu d’Urgell.
