Our company … A passion for the sea, a family story. In the HUBERT family, we are sailors from father to son… From a young age, Guilhem has been sailing alongside his father Patrick and his grandfather Louis . At the age of 8, he was introduced to the practice of scuba diving and sailing. From the age of 15, he worked alongside his father for the two companies he managed: Pro-Sub-Mer, a renowned diving center in France, and the Roussillon Croisières shipping company, created in 1986. Guilhem is the holder of his first captain's license in 2006. He then left to work for prestigious French shipping companies. After 3 long years, he obtained his Captain 3000 UMS diploma and in 2010 created the shipping company CTM Croisières. It acquires La Belle Aude, one of the last wooden passenger transport vessels approved by Bureau Véritas, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2019. Construction of the Marilou began in 2011 by the Martinez shipyard in Saint- Cyprien. This fast and comfortable vessel offers multiple service possibilities. Our partnership with Roussillon Croisières allows us multiple possibilities for sea trips from Leucate and all the ports on the Catalan coast: Le Barcarès, Canet-en-Roussillon, Saint-Cyprien, Argelès, Collioure, Port-Vendres and Banyuls. They offer regular outings from April to October for individuals and adapted services for groups: special rates on scheduled outings, privatizations and tailor-made services for various events: seminars, cocktails, buffets, family celebrations, incentives, team -buildings… The team is made up of seasonal staff, whom the company is keen to retain from one season to the next: qualified captains and sailors, ticket agents at the reception areas of the various ports, staff and managers in the offices. At the end of 2019, our love of a job well done was rewarded by obtaining the Quality Tourism & Occitanie Sud de France labels. Dolphin watching in the heart of the Gulf of Lion Marine Natural Park. Our High Quality Whale Watching label, instituted by the Pelagos Sanctuary and ACCOBAMS, guarantees our commitment to environmental excellence for the conservation of cetaceans in the Mediterranean and the sustainability of our activity in the face of the current development of observation tourism. It guarantees an approach that respects animals and their natural environment. We make our passengers aware of the need to preserve cetaceans and the marine environment, and the impact of human activity. The captain's educational comments are supplemented by the provision of a booklet on the main species likely to be encountered (cetaceans, fish, sea birds). We highlight the peculiarities and actions of the Gulf of Lion Marine Natural Park. Passengers are invited to adopt eco-responsible actions on the boat.
We will head south along the Côte Radieuse then the Côte Vermeille and pass near the Cerbère – Banyuls marine reserve. After crossing Cape Cerbère and Cape Lauseil, you will already be in Spain. You will appreciate at the height of Cap Creus, marine and terrestrial nature reserve since 2000, a coast with ocher colors and typically Mediterranean vegetation. The captain adorns the cruise along the route with comments on the natural and cultural heritage of Catalonia on both sides of the border. In Cadaques, a stopover of around 4 hours for lunch and a visit to this magnificent, preserved and picturesque small fishing village, with alleys steeped in history, a favorite city of Salvador Dali.
