Mountains of freedom

In 4 days of crossing through the Natural Parks of l’Alt Pirineu in Catalonia and the Parc naturel régional des Pyrénées Ariégeoises a França, we will follow the trails that cross the border and we will visit a set of lakes and peaks. Paths sculpted by man throughout its history. The Jews in their flight from the holocaust left Aulus Les Bains towards Certascan and the town of Tavascan. And the Spanish Republicans through the port of Tavascan to Bidous, fleeing Franco’s repression. A dramatic story where many people have tried to save their lives in the Mountains of Freedom.
It is a journey aimed at experienced hikers, since the stages are long and the unevenness of the route is significant.
