Schedule and duration

Day 1 :

Afternoon: Arrival at the hotel. Check-in from 2pm.
Bike ride on the side of Vingrau “Cliffs & smugglers” (Intermediate level, 1h30, 14km, 270D+).
On your way, don’t miss the Church of Notre Dame de l’Assomption. Dating from the 11th century, the Romanesque monument sits on the heights of the old village, dominating the view from its magnificent bell tower at 211 metres. On the spot, you can enjoy the panoramic view.
Take advantage of this tour to visit the castle.
At 16:00/16:30 : Visit a Domaine in Vingrau and enjoy a wine tasting followed by a gourmet meal.
Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 :

Option 1 :
Morning: Breakfast at the hotel. Then go for Cases-de-Pènes with the Red Train from Rivesaltes. Take the Red Train with your bike to Epira de l’Agly.
An 1 hour bike ride (intermediate level 16,7km, with D+220m).
Take the opportunity to visit the Ecozonia animal park.

Lunch: Free time for lunch. Picnic possible on site (Ecozonia)

Afternoon: Visit of the animal ecopark in Cases-de-Pène. Return by bike to Rivesaltes (approx. 1h30).

Option 2 :
Morning: Breakfast at the hotel. Then departure for Cases-de-Pènes with the Red Train from Rivesaltes. Take the Red Train with your bike to Epira de l’Agly.
Grande Gorge bike tour near Tautavel (Intermediate level, Approx. 37km, 2h30, D+430m)

Lunch: Free time for lunch. Picnic lunch.

Afternoon: Visit of the animal eco-park. Return by bike to Rivesaltes (approx.1h30).
Alternative to the animal park : go discover the Rivesaltes Memorial
Return to the hotel. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 3 :

Morning: Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out. Departure to Villeneuve de la Raho.
Cycle around the Lac de la Raho (approx. 30mn) and enjoy a relaxing environment with a view of the Canigou.

Lunch: Free time for lunch. Possibility to picnic at the lake or in one of the straw huts installed from June to September.

Afternoon: Guided tour of Perpignan by bike. 3 circuits are proposed : historical heart, Art-deco circuit and circuit along the water. The choice is yours! (approx. 2 hours)
Return to the hotel. Dinner. Overnight stay

Day 4 :

Morning: Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out. Departure to Banyoles.
Discover the largest natural lake in Catalonia and make the loop by walking or by bike (approx. 7km).
Possibility of kayaking or swimming in one of the three authorised areas.

Lunch: Free time for lunch : packed picnic or enjoy a meal in one of the lakeside restaurants.

Afternoon: Enjoy the afternoon to relax in the park, see the Neolithic Park of La Draga, discover the Caves of Serinya (approx. 25 min by bike – 8 min by car) or visit the Monastery of Saint-Estève. To better understand the history of the city, visit the Darder Museum, stroll through the Plaza Mayot, walk along the ruins of the Capuchin Convent and the remaining walls, or visit the Pia Almoina (Gothic Palace). Away from the hustle and bustle, Banyoles is a very pleasant town to discover.
Then head for your accommodation (B&B or hotel, depending on your preference). Check-in. Free time for dinner. Overnight stay.

Day 5 :

Morning: Breakfast and check-out. You can choose between 2 options : Figueres for a cultural visit or La Garrotxa for nature lovers.
Option 1 :
In Figueres, free visit of the city, the Sant Ferran castle or the Dali Theatre.
Option 2 :
La Garrotxa is one of the best areas in Catalonia for cycle tourism. Olot is a key point of passage to join the Green Iron Route to the Olot-Girona Little Train Route.

Lunch: Free time for lunch.
