Schedule and duration

Day 1 :

Afternoon: Arrival at your establishment. Check-in from 2pm.
Head for Cassagnes to make the circuit of the castles (2h15 – Difficult level with D+520 m).
This rather physical 20km loop starts in Cassagnes and takes you take you from the Cuxous Castel (X-XIth century with a pre-Romanesque church) to the more recent Castel of Caladroy (XIIIth). At Castel of Caladroy, take the opportunity to visit the Domaine (wine and oil) and do some local shopping.
On your way, you will enjoy the panoramic view on the Têt valley.
Return to the establishment. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 :

Morning: Breakfast. Then departure for Montner, for a 4h15 circuit to Força Real (Difficult level – 11,2km D+540m). This sporty and varied route starts with the discovery of the village of Montner, crosses a vineyard and ends at the chapel of Força Real, which will offers a breathtaking panorama between the sea and the mountains. Avoid if there is strong winds.

Lunch: Free time for lunch. Picnic out of the bag.

Afternoon: Direction Estagel, for a hike ” Les monts d’Estagel “, 9km circuit, with D+125m (approx.1h15) OR from Estagel, go for an easier hike ” Bords de l’Agly ” (8.8km, D+15m, approx.1h).
Return to the establishment. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 :

Morning: Breakfast, then departure for Espira-de-l’Agly. Then you will go on a tour on the way to Sainte-Marie-la-Mer, a coastal village, then to the chapel of Juhègues, a true jewel of Romanesque and Gothic art, set in a preserved landscape (attention, closed on Monday and Tuesday). Your itinerary will also take you through the village of Villelongue-de-la-Salanque and along Perpignan, the beautiful Catalan town (Intermediate level – 3h10 – 53 km with D+170m).

Lunch: Free time for lunch. Picnic out of the bag.

Afternoon: Free time. Sainte-Marie-la-Mer is a family and intimate seaside resort. Don’t hesitate to discover the village by bike, and take a walk on the beach.
For those who wish, possibility to try an unusual activity : electric skateboarding ! Another “slow” way to discover the territory while respecting nature. For these one hour to one hour and a half ride, you will be accompanied by a qualified instructor and will pass through the fields, vineyards or by the sea, according to the chosen route.

Day 4 :

Morning: Breakfast, check-out. Drive to Spain, direction Rosas. Here, go for a circuit to Cap de Creus (difficult level, Approx. 3h, 47 km, D+829m).
This short but intensive route will allow you to discover the surroundings of Rosas, to enjoy panoramic views and to pass by the Cap de Creus, a Naturale Reserve with extraordinarily crystal clear waters.

Lunch: Free time for lunch. Picnic out of the bag.

Afternoon: Free time. Check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 :

Morning: Breakfast, check-out. Free time to explore Rosas OR leave for a loop cycling tour towards Castello d’Empuries-Sant Père Pescador and Empuriabrava (43km, approx. 2h40, D+15m).
