Casa Pare Coll

The house of spirituality and colonies of Father Coll is located in the mountain village of Gombrèn, in the Ripollès region, between the Montgrony mountain range and the Rasos de Tubau. It enjoys an unbeatable natural environment, surrounded by forests, meadows, rivers and peaks, often snowy. It is a land of traditions and legends, including that of Count Arnau and of great Romanesque interest due to the large number of Romanesque hermitages in the surrounding area. The house owes its name to Francesc Coll i Guitart, preacher and Catalan saint of the Order of Preachers of Sant Domènec, where he was born in 1812. A popular preacher throughout Catalonia in the mid-nineteenth century, he was a kind person and simple with a Good News message from Christian life. Challenged by the educational needs of his time, he undertook the founding of the Congregation of the Dominican Sisters of the Annunciation dedicated to the teaching of children and young people of the less favored classes and missionary tasks, in addition to others, such as the reception and care of the sick, the elderly and the disadvantaged. The house has been expanded over the years and with the latest expansion and modernization of the facilities we enjoy an ideal space to carry out all kinds of activities aimed at different types of groups and their needs: schools, institutes , clubs, sports organizations, cultural associations, parish, nature, AMPAs, teacher groups, etc. It is a cozy place and in an incomparable natural environment for the celebration of coexistence, training, sports and / or cultural stays as we have different spaces prepared to carry out these activities.
