True oasis located in the Eastern Pyrenees, the tropic of the butterfly is an aviary with free-flowing butterfly. Born more than 25 years ago, he is constantly growing, expanding, evolving. A covered tropical garden of 800 m² serves as a setting for more than 60 species of exotic butterflies which are born and flutter before the eyes of visitors. This magical walk continues in a Mediterranean garden, of approximately 12000m². The gardens are punctuated with educational panels providing information on plants and insects. Arranged like a succession of universes, dream and discovery intertwine. Young and old alike will forget the stress of everyday life. The idea is that by having fun, the visitor is interested in his environment, tames it and wants to protect it. A warm welcome, fun and educational activities, refreshment bar and organic-local catering, a craft souvenir shop complete this universe. The Tropic of the Butterfly opens its doors at the start of the Easter holidays, in April, until the end of September (conditions subject to change in view of the health situation).
