A stay in the heart of the Catalan Pyrenees Natural Park to take the time, live beautiful experiences as close as possible to nature … in short, a getaway to enjoy the Pyrenees with your family! You stay in Espousouilles, a small traditional village at the “end of the world” in the Pyrenees, nestled in the heart of an ancient glacial valley, then you land in Eyne, one of the oldest villages in Cerdagne with its dolmens and menhirs, 4 years old. 000 years, its Nature Reserve, known to botanists around the world, its traditions around agricultural crops and its know-how of quality products! End your stay by crossing the border on the nearby Spanish side to reach a “casa rural” on the farm. Enhance your stay with activities suitable for children from 3-4 years old.

Schedule and duration

Nights 1 and 2: Arrived at Espousouilles on the very wooded high altitude plateau of Capcir, your hosts Anna, Vincent and their children welcome you to their cozy nest for two nights. Take part in a family modeling workshop with Anna, create your cup, your box with a lid, decoration, … according to your wishes! Anna will cook them and you can collect them later! Explore a cave discovered in 1958 next to the village’s marble quarry. A magical underground walk on two floors where a lake, columns, angel hair and other colored wonders, sculpted by time follow one another. Dinners and breakfasts based on local and seasonal products, transformed on site by your hosts.

Nights 3 and 4: You change valley only a few kilometers away and yet you will be completely disoriented by the very open and panoramic altitude plateau of Cerdagne! Yumi and Xavier welcome you to their warm lodging, an old presbytery in the village, backing onto the church. At dinners, you can taste “homemade” cuisine, made mainly from Km 0 products (honey, fruit and vegetables, meat and cold meats, cheeses, etc).

Overnight stay and buffet breakfasts (local products). Take advantage of a visit to the oldest solar oven in Mont-Louis (projection, demonstration …) and walk through the alleys of the Vauban city, classified Unesco. At the end of the day, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., set off with Stéphane, the shepherd of Planès and his dog Patou to bring the flock of sheep from pasture to the barn. Stéphanie awaits you when you return to the cheese factory to discover the home made products (ice cream, cheese, faisselle, drinkable yoghurt, … depending on the season). In the village next door, Llo, located in the heart of the Sègre gorges, you will discover the benefits of swimming in hot sulphurous waters (outdoor and indoor baths, sauna, hammam, jets, etc).

Nights 5 and 6: How about a short stay on the Spanish side of the border to live two days on the farm, in a welcoming “casa rural”. You can feed the animals with Aurélie and Jordina, visit the farm (cows, chickens,…).

Pedal for 3 hours on an electric mountain bike on flat but very panoramic paths of the lower Cerdanya. With the possibility for the little ones, to attach a mountain bike trailer for children to your bike to enjoy the family outing!

You can enjoy a dinner in town in Puigcerdà (not included).

Based on this stay, depending on the age of your children and your expectations, other optional fun activities can be offered on request.
