The great routes of Cerdanya: the Pyrenees and the Sierra del Cadí

Self-guided hiking program of 7 stages and a medium-highlevel, which runs through the most significant places in Cerdanya, both the southern slope of the Pyrenees and the northern slope of the Sierra del Cadí, with stages between 12-20km and between 650m + and 1400m +.

The east-west orientation of the valley condition sits climatology, preventing humid winds from the north or south from penetrating into the valley, creating a very benign climate with many microclimates that make it the valley with the most floral diversity in Europe and what it is more interesting, more hours of sunshine than the desert of Almería with more than 3000 hours of sunshine per year.

Schedule and duration

Day 1: arrival and installation at the EcoResort de Prullans.
Day 2: Route 1 “The Magic Cerdanya” 16.5km approx. and 560m + / 1160m-. Departure from Estana. Transfer from the EcoResort to Estana. End of the route in Martinet,to Bunkers park (transfer to Prullans).
Day 3: Route 2 “Land of Smugglers” 18.20km approx. and 370m + / 1220m-. Departure from the Nordic ski resort of Lles. Transfer from the Ecoresort to Llesstation. End of the route in Prullans, to the EcoResort.
Day 4: Route 3 “Between Valleys” 16km approx. and 1200m + / 830m-. Departure from the EcoResort, without transfer. End of the route in Meranges, where we will spend the night (Hotel).
Day 5: Route 4 through “theAncient Glacial Circle” 14km approx. and 790m + / 940m-. Departure from the Meranges Hotel. End of theroute in the village of La Tour de Carol (luggage transfer) to sleep at the Hotel de la Tour de Carol.
Day 6: Route 5 The “Sentinel of the Cerdanya” 19km approx. and 1410m + / 1480m-. Departure from Das. Transfer from La Tour de Carol to Das. End of theroute at Riu de Cerdanya and transfer to Prullans.
Day 7: Route 6 “The forests and the Romanesque” 16km approx. and 700m + / 815m-. Departure from Riu de Cerdaña. End of the route in Talló (Bellver de Cerdanya) and transfer to Prullans, to sleep at the EcoResort.
Day 8: Route 7 “The Majestic Cadí” 21.5km approx. and 1130m + / 1340m-. Departure from Nas. Transfer from the EcoResort to Nas. End of the route in Martinet (transfer to Prullans).
Day 9: End of the program and return to the place of origin.

Includes / Does not include

  • 6 nights in a hotel or apartment at the Ecoresort (depending on availability).
  • Halfboard (dinner and breakfast). Possibility of picnic.
  • The 2 itinerant hotels with Half Board.
