Know the whole Epiremed territory

This circuit runs along the coastline of the Epiremed region. It stretches from L’Escala to Le Barcarès in a straight line and takes you to amazing beaches and coves hidden between cliffs and among lush vegetation.  If you like the sea, you can swim at pristine beaches that offer high-quality amenities— many of them are certified by the Blue Flag— and coves with crystalline waters where the different shades of blue playfully dance in the sunlight.

You can also walk along the many Camí de Ronda, which are historical footpaths that run along the sea front. These paths have helped fishermen and sailors out of more than a few emergency disembarkment operations. The paths were named after the ronda or rounds that the coast guard and the Civil Guard would make in the 19th and 20th century to control smuggling along the coast.

The circuit crosses the Cap de Creus Natural Park, a beautiful and unique space boasting impressive geological formations resulting from the capricious erosions caused by the Tramontana winds. This space offers a spectacular combination of landscapes, flora, vegetation, fauna, and historical and cultural heritage, set against the blue backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea.
